Update on Trump’s New Tariffs of Construction Goods: The Pause of Tariffs is to resume in August 2025

Any imports from the European Union will sustain a 30% tariff. The ongoing negotiations of tariffs will also apply to Japan, the UK, and Indonesia. The reciprocal tariffs with the EU will result in a deficit of approximately $230 billion. Steel and Aluminum products currently face a 50% global US tariff. EU and US officials are working to agree on reducing tariffs to promote economic security. Trump has also levied a 50% tariff on copper imports. Iron, copper, and aluminum are the three top consumed metals by the U.S. The price of construction materials will increase after these tariffs take effect.
