Reduction of Job Openings in 2025

Job openings in the construction industry decreased significantly in 2025. Contractors take a more cautious approach to hiring in 2025 due to the uncertainty of the upcoming tariffs. Although the demand for laborers remains the amount of roles open has dropped 42% in comparison to the amount recorded last year. On the bright side the number of layoffs has also decreased in 2025. It will be interesting to see how the political and economic state of the rest of 2025 will shape the workforce of the construction industry and job security.
