Starting 2025 with New Technology Releases

This winter the construction community will welcome a plethora of new technology products to enhance productivity in the field. The following items released in February 2025 are:

Apogee Ultra:

German Bionic, a firm based in Berlin, released a new exoskeleton called the Apogee Ultra which assists workers in construction with accomplishing intense tasks. More specifically this robotic exoskeleton offers dynamic lifting support and walking support, allowing users to increase mobility. This means workers can pick up heavy materials and walk longer distances at ease.

RealWear Smart Glasses:

Splashtop Augmented Reality collaborated with RealWear to produce a new hands-free tool in which on-site workers can communicate with remote technicians. This new product allows workers to have access to live annotations and be guided through the repair of equipment. Purchasing this technology will enhance productivity and satisfy the needs in hazardous environments complying with OSHA regulations.

TimeVO:

IVO Systems created a new module that will auto-populate time-tracking data to employee and equipment management tools. This is projected to save customers time and money.

RealWear Smart Glasses will make a difference, especially for utility contractors. Whereas the Apogee Ultra and TimeVo will alter the productivity of site work contractors. Although these products may not be as revolutionary as machine control was for the construction industry, it is still interesting to see how technology has transformed and evolved over the years.
